11th-15th July 2006 Food Tim's Barbeque & Curries Top quality Barbecued Food, home made Chilli & Curries will be available throughout the festival. Our excellent burgers and sausages are hand made by Hughes Butchers, Broomfield Rd. The menu includes quarter pound burgers served in a roll with a choice of cheese or onions or if you are feeling more peckish there's a half pound burger in a 5" bun. Plus quarter pound hot dogs using the best sausages in the world. If you are feeling brave add some of our famous home made chilli sauce. Made using fresh and dried chillies including habaneros you won't find anything hotter! Our Broadside Chilli is home made from best ground beef. You won't find the recipe written down anywhere, suffice to say it has the sort of kick you would expect from a Beer Festival Chilli. We have added some Adnam's Broadside to the pot to add a certain something to the flavour and make the beef even more tender. Curries are also available. The Madras is home made to a restaurant style recipe to give a good rich flavour with plenty of spice. Our authentic Red & Green Thai Curries have a fiery chilli heat beneath a fresh coconut base. Leon's Vegetarian Catering Since the publication of my second book, I and my team of eight have enjoyed further success at WOMAD in Reading and at the marvellous Cropredy Festival. My 'Leonese plateful' has been accepted as a great value offering with eight items on one plate and the queues at WOMAD in 2000 were as long and constant as at Glastonbury in 1983. My style is to serve a generous whole meal with a large range of flavours and textures and very often a plateful is shared by two or more people. Only quality ingredients are used and many of the dishes are made freshly on site. Special diets are catered for. Mine is a stall where the team have a lot of fun while providing the food and it is hoped that this joy is transmitted into the finished article. We will also be at the Chappel Beer Fetival 5th-9th Sep 2006. Visit the website www.leonlewis.co.uk Cosmopolitan Bakery Cosmopolitan will be providing a wide range of sandwiches, filled rolls. pasties, Real Ale sausages in bread, cakes and other hot and cold goodies.
