Social Events & Meetings
For socials
other than Real Ale Runabouts: Contact Brian Debenham on 01245
600294(h) or email camra@chelmsfordcamra.org.uk. Last minute arrivals will normally be accepted
at any event, but if you
are keen to come along on trips involving bus hire (excepting Runabouts where a 40+ seater coach is always available) please try to advise
Brian at least a couple of weeks in advance so that a suitable size bus can be hired and which will guarantee your place.
Unless otherwise indicated all social event buses drop off around this circuit on return to Chelmsford.
NEW - March 2010: Dropoff route extended.
1) Instead of going straight up Broomfield Rd (with the optional Patching Hall Lane diversion which is now unnecessary) from the Railway Station we'll continue along Rainsford Road then go right into Chignall Road, then right into Melbourne Ave, right into North Ave then left into Kings Rd and back to Broomfield Rd. Obviously if no-one on a particular bus needs this loop we'll just go up Broomfield Rd as before. If we happen to come in along Rainsford Rd we'll go to the station first then back to Chignall Rd.
2) Instead of turning right into Loftin Way and going along Gloucester Ave and up Longstomps to the top of Wood St we'll continue up Beehive Lane to just before the Eagle at Galleywood and then return back down Galleywood Rd to Wood St. Again if no-one on a particular bus wants this we'll go along Gloucester Ave as before.
